Traditional Celebration of the North is an annual winter sports event held in the Murmansk Region since 1934. Neither WW2 nor the collapse of the Soviet Union were able to break or even pause this healthy tradition. It only changes with the times, adopting new technologies (windsurfing, snowmobile races), and grows, having become an international event.
