Aluminum, lacquer. Measures 42.8 mm in height, 45.0 mm in width. Features a stylized star with five KGB emblems of sword and shield making the arms of the star. Raised maker marks of a Dnepropetrovsk factory on the reverse.

In excellent condition. Both sides are perfect; the lacquer finish on the obverse is practically pristine. The pin attachment is intact and fully functional.

This is one of the badges of "republican" KGB series, awarded to active-duty KGB officers and distinguished retirees.
