Temporary ID of Chief of Intelligence of the 774th Kiev-Zhitomir Howitzer Artillery Regiment Lt.
Single page 8" x 6", front only. The ID bears the letterhead stamp of the 774th Howitzer Artillery Regiment, is hand-signed by its chief of staff Maj. Nelin, and bears the regiment's seal.
In very good condition. The letterhead stamp and seal are somewhat faded but still quite legible; the handwritten lettering is bright, small areas where it is blurred are still perfectly legible. The verso shows old repairs to the separating fold lines. The fraying to the edges and corners is negligibly minimal.
The 774th Howitzer Artillery Regiment was part of the 17th Kiev-Zhitomir Artillery Division of the Supreme Command Reserve. Included into the 7th Artillery Corps, it fought with the Volkhov, Bryansk, Voronezh, and 1st Ukrainian Fronts, participating in the Battle of the Kursk Bulge, liberation of Ukraine, Poland, as well as in the Berlin and Prague offensives.
