Large format measuring 21" x 28". This Bolshevik propagandistic poster depicts a scene of the Ukrainian military forces loyal to the Bolsheviks "liberating" the Ukrainian peasants from the oppression of the tsarist military, the clergy, the imperial police, and the rich farmers - representatives of the "old regime".

The poster strongly resembles the Imperial Russian posters of the early 1900s. The small print at the lower right-hand corner under the artwork states that it was made by the Kushnerev & Co. lithography printing house in Moscow, obviously "expropriated" by the Bolsheviks for their propagandistic needs.

In very good condition. Most of the wear has been repaired with tape on the verso, leaving a few minor tears at the edges, not reaching the artwork and easily repairable with library tape, if desired. The colors of the artwork are bright and vivid.
