Order of the Red Banner, Type 5, Variation 3, Sub-variation 2, #420747, circa 1954 issue.

Silver gilt, enamels; measures 45.2 mm in height incl. eyelet, 36.3 mm in width; weighs 24.7 g without the suspension and connecting link. Features a very pronounced oval shape with pointed bottom and characteristically large font of the mint mark. The reverse has a rounded depression in the center. According to The Order of the Red Banner by Durov and Strekalov, this piece was manufactured in 1954 at the Leningrad Mint.

In excellent, near mint condition. The enamel is pristine, without any traces of wear visible even under 10x magnification. The fire gilt is exceptionally well preserved and bright throughout. The details are crisp and flawless, without dings or other wear. The reverse is likewise pristine. Comes on an original suspension, a two-layer model in steel with an integral catch of the pin. The ribbon shows age but is perfectly preserved and immaculately clean. The connecting link appears to be original; its ends are still joined with solder. This is a truly perfect specimen of the Order of the Red Banner - literally impossible to upgrade condition-wise.
