Government Photo Postcard with a view on Sverdlovsk city pond, 1955.
The size is continental 6" x 4", inscribed, postally used and cancelled. Preprinted postal mark features the Spasskaya Clock Tower of the Moscow Kremlin. Published by the USSR Ministry of Communications, circulation unknown. The photo presents a view on the center of the city of Sverdlovsk ( pre- and post-Soviet Ekaterinburg) with a spacious square and a large pond.
In very good to excellent condition. The paper is barely wrinkled, showing minor creases and bumps to the corners. The colors of the photo are bright, and the image is quite clear and crisp.
The message, written in purple ink using a quill pen, is addressed to a family member and dated 21 May 1957.
