Table Medal in Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of Turkmen SSR, 1974.
In solid bronze 60 mm wide, 6.4 mm thick between the highest points on either side, and weighing 107 g. Manufactured at the Leningrad Mint. The medal was issued in 1974, 5,350 pieces struck. The artwork by I. Fedin celebrates the progress made by the Turkmen SSR over the 50 years of its existence. The obverse is a condensed representation of industrial and agricultural achievements. The lettering running along the rim is the full name of the republic in Turkmen. The medallist's name, year and the logo of the Leningrad Mint are in relief, bottom center. The reverse features the state emblem of the Turkmen SSR, with the scrolls inscribed with the communist slogan "Proletarians of all countries, unite!" in Turkmen on the left and in Russian on the right. The full name of the republic, this time in Russian, is running along the rim, with the years of the 50th anniversary at bottom center.
In excellent, outstanding condition. Mild attractive patina accents the high points of the crisply outlined high-3D bas-relief. No significant wear or damage of any kind is visible to the naked eye.
