Soviet Propaganda Leaflet for the population of occupied territories, April 1942.
Single page 8" x 11 ¾", front and verso. Published by the Main Political Directorate of the Red Army. The leaflet is entitled Once Аgain Аbout the Con Artists and Sharps of the Gaming House Hitler & Co.
The text reveals the lies of German propaganda claiming that the Red Army was mostly 14-year-old boys and 60-70-year-old men, asking rhetorically and ironically whether the massive losses and defeats endured by the Nazi army are wrought by children and the aged. Inconsistencies in German news are pointed out, where the Red Army is sometimes presented as feeble and ill-equipped, but sometimes as bigger and better equipped than the German army, thus explaining German losses.
The leaflet is in very good condition. The darkened areas of the paper are not easy to explain. We think that they were perhaps caused by the malfunction of the printing press. The text is perfectly clear and not at all faded, the paper is only slightly wrinkled along the top edge, the corners show minor creases and bumps, not very noticeable and not detractive.
