Large size, measuring 9" x 13", very uncommon in folder format with a cloth-wrapped beveled hard cover and embossed text and graphics on the front. Inside, the citation is glued to the right side of the folder. It is decorated with the early version of the State Emblem of the USSR with six scrolls.

In good condition. The cover shows some wear to the cloth wrapping, mostly along the spine, but also at the corners. The document of the citation is unevenly discolored, possibly due to exposure to heat, moisture, or some chemically active substance. Nevertheless, the graphics and text are perfectly clear and legible.

The citation was issued by the Berdyansk District Executive Committee, and is hand-signed by its chairman, and so-signed by the chairman of the committee responsible for the Red Army anniversary celebratory events. The text of the citation honors Comrade German Namvrin as a Red Army veteran who got to do so much at the frontlines, and continues to contribute to the cause of defending the USSR, the fatherland of all working people on the planet.

As a geographical reference point, Berdyansk is a district center in the Zaporizhzhia Region of Ukraine, a city on the shore of the Azov Sea.
