Young Pioneer Pilotka Side Cap with original manufacturer tag, circa late 1970s - early 80s.
Sturdy 2-layer construction, in cotton. Measures 11" x 5" lying flat. The original manufacturer's paper tag of the Uzhgorod Textile & Haberdashery Factory is attached, stitched onto the cap.
In excellent, never-worn condition. The stitching holding the two layers of fabric is completely intact, the fabric is pristinely clean.
The entire set of young pioneers' wearable attributes - neckerchief, side cap, and badge - was borrowed from the Boy Scouts which the pioneers were meant to replace, the red color being the most ostensible difference.
Please note that the pen in our photo is for size reference.
