Nagant Revolver Holster in ersatz leather, 1960s.
In brown-colored kirza ersatz leather (rubberized fabric) with brown leather trim and belt loops. Features unusual rubberized external finish like the pebbling on German uniform buttons and an internal pouch in real leather for loose cartridges. There is a maker's stamp on the inside showing a 1960s date of manufacture (please note, our photos show an example; the actual dates and stamps may vary, but all are of the same 1960s vintage and in the same condition).
In near mint unissued condition. Shows only very mild storage age, no wear, stains or discoloration.
Intended for a Soviet factory guard, this holster is of better quality than a number of the different "ersatz" types we've seen that were issued in the 40s and the 50s. If you look in the excellent WW 2 reference book Red Army Uniforms 1918 -1945 in Color Photographs , by Shalito et al, you will see a photo of the WW2 holster it was cloned from on page 184.
