Honor Sash of a Labor Veteran of the Denproshina industrial enterprise, 1980s.

In artificial silk, 6 ¾ " wide and 75" long (not including the fringe). Shows the factory logo with a numeral "20" which stands for the number of years of outstanding work at the enterprise. The stenciled inscription in gold reads "To an Honored Veteran of Labor, Industrial Conglomerate 'Denproshina'".

Worn during parades and at special occasions such as celebratory meetings and political rallies. Fringed ends are not sewn together, allowing for the honoree to pin the sash to his clothing at the best angle. Usually bestowed as a special recognition award by the party and the trade union committee of an enterprise.

Located in the city of Dnepropetrovsk (now known as Dnipro), the Dneproshina was once a leading Soviet manufacturer of tires for trucks and agricultural machinery. The factory was founded in 1956 and was initially called the Dnepropetrovsk Tire Plant; it greatly expanded in the following decades and in 1979, received the new name of the Industrial Conglomerate Dneproshina. After the collapse of the Soviet economy and breakup of the USSR, the enterprise floundered and in 2012, closed its doors.

Excellent condition. The stenciled wording and factory trademark are particularly well preserved with none of the cracks in the pigment so often seen on late-vintage Soviet pennants and banners.
