Real Photo Postcard w.
Girl Growing Plants for her Kindergarten, dated 1959.
The size is standard 5 ½" x 3 ½", postally unused and unmarked. Published by "Hammer" Photo Publishers, Rostov-Don, circulation 200,000 copies. This is an uncommon publisher. The inscription in the top part of the photo is a small verse which, translated, reads "I take care of the flowers, water them every day. When the First of May comes, I will give them to my kindergarten". Now, there is a shining example of a person of the new (communist) type! Working for free, at this tender age, to celebrate the International Day of Solidarity of the Working People.
In very good condition. Minor shelf and use wear can be seen on the recto but only at a certain angle against bright light. The emulsion appears strong, there are no cracks or any other damage. The corner and edge bumps are microscopic and not really detractive. When looking at a certain angle against the light, an old, long-since flattened out crease becomes visible at the lower right-hand corner, and another one running horizontally near the bottom of the image. The verso is very clean
