Album Russian Porcelain, mid-XVIII C.
to 1980s, rare out-of-print 1993 edition.

Measures approx. 12 ¾" x 9 ¾", weighs a little over 3 lbs. Leatherette-bound hardcover, comes with its original laminated dust jacket. Published by PLANETA Publishers, Moscow, 240 pp. Printed on heavy-stock coated matte paper, perfect for viewing as it eliminates glare spots from reflected light. Russian text, abundantly illustrated with superb high-resolution color photos. The album is segmented into 7 time periods. Each period is represented by a highly informative essay, illustrated with photos of the period items as well as the manufacturer's maker marks of the period. The best of the best are represented: Gardner, IFZ (Imperial Porcelain Factory), Dulevo, Verbilki, etc., on into the Soviet period all the way up to the 1980s. A thorough comprehensive and highly visual study of the evolution of Russian porcelain.

In very good condition. The album shows evidence of prior exposure to moisture. The laminate over the dust jacket has bubbled up in a few horizontal lines. The dust jacket has a water stain on the inside, the hardcover boards are very slightly warped at the long edge, and the textblock shows very minimal "wave" along the fore edge left over from that exposure incident. The warp is absolutely minimal, the exposure left no stain either to the cover or to the textblock pages, so none of this is really detractive.

Please note that the pen in our photos is for size reference only.
