Russian Faience and Porcelain, the Kuznetsovs Empire and Konakovo, "Русский Фаянс и Фарфор, Империя Кузнецовых и Конаково", Exceptionally Rare, 2010 Edition.

Large massive tome, measures approx. 10" x 9 ½", weighs nearly 5 lbs. 510 pp, laminated hardcover, integrated woven bookmark tape. Russian text, 231 numbered illustrations and dozens of smaller unnumbered in-text illustrations. Voluminous textual part with very detailed information. Indexes include: illustrations, referenced literature, acronyms and abbreviations, images of over 200 maker marks in chronological order (more than 20 of them published for the first time), and the general index of the contents of the book. Printed on heavy-stock matte coated paper, perfect for viewing photo illustrations. Published by Among Collectors Publishers. Exceptionally rare, only 1,000 copies in print. The book traces and illustrates the history and evolution of two "porcelain empires" - the Kuznetsovs and Konakovo - from their beginning in Imperial Russia through the Soviet era.

In excellent condition. The hardcover shows only minimal traces of shelf wear, the binding is intact and quite tight, the internal pages are simply pristine.

Overall, this is an invaluable reference resource for a serious porcelain, faience and majolica collector. But it is also a magnificent and visual source of information for anyone interested in the history and evolution of this genre of Russian art.

Please note that the pen in our photo is for size reference only.
