Krasnaya Niva issue # 38, 1927, thrice-monthly magazine, organ of the USSR Central Executive Committee, Moscow.
Measures 11 ½" x 8 ¾", 24 pp. excluding the cover. Printed on thin but high-quality paper. Only the cover has color graphics. All graphics on the internal pages are b/w. Two staples provide binding.
Overall, in very good condition. The cover shows a tiny separation at the bottom along the fold, not reaching the binding staples which are both tight and just a little rusted. On top left of the back cover page and the adjoining internal page there is a very small rip. No other significant damage. The paper is still quite supple, uniformly and very lightly age-toned. The text and graphics are bright and clear.
Being an organ of the executive branch of the Soviet government, the magazine's main focus is on the day-to-day life and achievements of Soviet industry and agriculture, and propaganda of the heroic efforts of workers and peasants to increase their output. There is a high number of advertisements on the inside of the cover, underscoring normality of the day-to-day life of the Soviet people.
