Aluminum, paint, lacquer; 30.3 x 54.1 mm. Shows a Soviet naval flag, submarine at sea, and one of Kamchatka's many volcanic peaks with a plume of smoke over it. The inscription near the bottom reads "For Memory of Service on the Kamchatka". The reverse shows the raised trademark of a currently unknown Soviet manufacturer, a stylized Cyrillic CM ("SM"). The badge is in excellent condition having perfectly preserved lacquer and paint.

Although possibly issued exclusively to submarine sailors based out of Kamchatka, the badge also may have been issued to other naval personnel who served there. A very uncommon piece.
