Badge of an Honored Worker of Seafaring Merchant Fleet, Type 2, early variation without counter-relief, #6764, circa early 1950s.
Brass, enamels; 43.9 mm x 30.6 mm. Features smooth, slightly concave reverse without counter-relief. Unlike the later versions, there is no mint mark on the reverse, even though the badge was produced by the same mint in Moscow.
In excellent condition. The enamel shows beautiful luster and is completely free of any wear noticeable to the naked eye, has only a few microscopic contact marks completely invisible without magnification. The raised details of the ship and wreath are nicely preserved and crisp. Attractive even patina to brass throughout. The screw post is full length, over 9.5 mm, and includes the original mint marked screw plate.
