Aluminum, paint, lacquer; 26.1 mm tall x 30.8 mm wide. The reverse shows the maker mark of the Factory of Experimental and Souvenir Items in Mytishchi, Moscow Region. In excellent condition, free of noticeable wear.

The badge was established to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the communist youth organization acquiring the name "Lenin Komsomol" in 1924. It was given by the VLKSM Central Committee to Komsomol activists. The badge was issued pretty sparingly and is relatively scarce.
