Large agitation poster "Aha! Woe to the Capitalist; Rout Him Out into Black Sea", 1919, Kharkiv, Ukraine.
Size: 86 x 59 cm (33 ¾" x 23").
Printed on light-gray matte poster paper by the Chrome Lithography and Printing House of M.I. Levin, Kharkiv, Ukraine.

The poster features a laughing peasant woman flinging the contents of a slop bucket onto a fleeing symbol of capitalism as it was typically
represented in those times (a well-dressed gentleman with an ugly face, blood-shot eyes under a pince-nez , hands covered in the blood of
oppressed workers and peasants, holding a military ship which shows the USA flag) slinking at a run into Black Sea, prodded with the bayonet
in the hands of a gleeful Russian peasant soldier.
Good condition. Evidence of some water damage on the reverse. All the rips are reinforced with paper tape on the reverse, the wear along the edges is minor. The age toning is minimal, the colors are strong and vibrant.
