Badge of a Veteran of the 53rd Army, Jubilee Issue in Commemoration of the 40th Anniversary of the Army, 1982.

In aluminum, paint and lacquer; medallion measures 41.4 mm in height (incl. eyelet) x 36.3 mm. The reverse of both the medallion and suspension device shows Soviet-era trademark of the Poltava Dinamo Factory, Ukraine.

The badge is in excellent condition (minor imperfections of the red paint appear to be a factory flaw, not a result of wear).
