50th Anniversary of KGB of Kirgizstan, commemorative badge, 1975.
In fine condition. The red paint on the border is partly missing, but no less than 50% of it is still intact. The silver finish on the obverse is very nicely preserved showing only minimal wear to the high points of the national emblem of Kirgiz SSR. The details of the artwork and lettering are perfect and crisp. There is minor amount of oxidation on the hilt of the sword, not very noticeable or detractive. The reverse has some oxidation stains but its silver finish is otherwise well-preserved and sound. The screw post is full length, over 13 mm, and comes with mint marked screw plate which may be original to the badge.
This badge is among the hardest to find among the "republican" KGB anniversary series. There are also versions of this badge with green and royal blue paint that are believed to be even more scarce than the red one.
