Brass, enamels; measures 31 x 25.5 mm. Center shows hammer and sickle on a blue enamel background, surrounded by a cog wheel and flanked by oak and laurel leaves as well as sprigs of wheat. Large banner across the top reads "Excellent in Socialist Competition", smaller banner across bottom shows the "RSFSR" initials of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, both in red enamel. Moscow mint mark on reverse.
