Small Sword of Russian Civil Officers, by Evgeniy Boldyrev, C 2016.
This excellent book by Boldyrev continues his Russian edged series started by the previous volumes on Soviet and Imperial Daggers. It provides comprehensive reference on all types of smallswords carried by employees of various Russian civil agencies, students, Imperial court officials etc. from XVII through early XX CC. There are chapters describing and illustrating evolution of separate parts of these swords such as portepees and clamshell guards. Last but not least, there is a detailed list of 17 blade makers, both foreign and domestic, from Eickhorn to Tula Weapons Factory.
