Lenin Birth Centennial 1970 commemorative porcelain biscuit bas-relief.
Probably made by the Polonnoe Artistic Ceramics Factory. Measures 5" x 3 1/8" x 1 5/8" (13 x 8 x 4.5cm), typical 1960s-70s dynamic (almost "aerodynamic"!) profile of Lenin with his centennial dates below. A similar porcelain souvenir, virtually identical in all respects except that the portrait and the dates are printed instead of in relief, exists with a Polonnoe TM. There is a red stamp on the bottom which gives the price as 2 Rubles and 20 Kopecks and a faint stamp indicating that the piece was first quality.
Excellent condition. A few tiny dirt smudges are not too detractive and should likely respond to a careful washing with a good detergent.
