Brass, enamels; 46.4 x 24.4 mm. Riveted 3-piece construction; the institute building and the RSRSR state emblem are separate, superimposed parts. The writing in the center is "GDOIFK named in honor of Lesgaft". The abbreviation GDOIFK stands for State Twice Awarded with an Order Institute of Physical Culture.

In very fine condition. There is a very small, barely noticeable enamel chip near the edge, just above and to the right of the RSFSR emblem. The enamel is perfect otherwise, showing nice luster and free of buffing, flaking or scratches. Few tiny dings to the raised border, not detracting. Comes with original mint marked screw plate.
