Bronze, nickel plating, enamels. The pendant is 25.7 mm tall (incl. the eyelet), 22.6 mm wide; riveted two-piece construction: the M 1965 Young Pioneer membership badge is a separate part superimposed on pentagon back plate. Early style Moscow Mint mark "MMD" to the reverse of the pendant. The reverse of the suspension device has the later style circular logo of the Moscow Mint. The combination of the two styles of mint mark indicates that the badge was manufactured and issued no later than the early 80s.

Excellent condition. Shows minor wear to the silver finish on the reverse of the pendant, not detracting.
