50th Anniversary of the Young Pioneer Organization, commemorative badge, 1972.

Aluminum, paint; 33 x 26 mm. Shows Yong Pioneer trumpet with banner inscribed "50th Anniversary of the Lenin All-Union Pioneer Organization". The reverse shows maker mark "MZSI" (Mytischi Souvenir Goods Factory) and raised inscription "Moscow, 19 May 1972".

Apparently awarded exclusively to the attendees of the celebratory gathering in Moscow, this badge is a Young Pioneer equivalent of the "adult VIP" badges such as those issued to the delegates of CPSU Congresses and USSR anniversary meetings.
