East Germany, Border Troops 40th Anniversary Commemorative Medal, 1986.

In nonferrous metal with gold-colored coating, paints, and clear resin. The diamond-shaped medallion measures 30 mm square, with the red-enameled border inscribed GRENZ TRUPPEN DER DDR ("Border Troops of the DDR").

In excellent condition, with just a tiny surface scratch near the letter Z and a hairline to the right of DDR at the edge, both virtually impossible to see without strong magnification.
