Poster w.
B/w photo printed on glossy high-quality heavy-stock paper. The image size is 8" x 10", 10"x13" total with the margins, great for display on a collector's shelf of Soviet memorabilia. The photo was taken in 1979, not long before Brezhnev's death on 10 November 1982. Obviously, this is an official portrait, heavily airbrushed and having very little in common with Brezhnev's real appearance at that time.
In unused new condition.

Leonid Brezhnev (1906 - 1982) held the post of General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 14 October 1964, succeeding Nikita Khrushchev, until 10 November 1982, succeeded by Chief of the KGB Yuri Andropov. His reign is remembered as the era of stagnation, welcomed by many after the terror of Stalin's epoch and the tumult of Krushchev's rule.
