Brass and enamels; pendant measures approx. 40 mm (including loop at the top) in height x 36 mm in width. The drop of blood symbolizes the loss of life and the Alpha, Beta, and Gamma rays refer to and represent the massive amount of radiation involved. Gilt and ribbon suspension bears the logo of Moscow Mint. This award was issued to all participants of the massive clean-up effort.
