In brass and enamels; measures 34.4 mm tall x 26.1 mm wide. Single-piece construction. Note that Border Guard is holding a WW2 era Soviet PPSh submachine-gun. The quality is very nice, on par with contemporary Soviet badges and far better than Bulgarian awards produced in the later years.
Very fine to excellent condition. There are a couple of minuscule flakes and some tiny contact marks to the enamel throughout, but they are not easily noticeable, and the enamel retains a very nice luster. A moderate amount of tarnish on the reverse, not too detractive. In the upper part of the

The screw post is full length, approx. 10 mm, and includes the original maker-marked screw plate.
