Outstanding, excellent condition. The enamel is essentially flawless, showing a beautiful luster and no wear aside from a few microscopic contact marks invisible to the naked eye. The details of the bas-relief are perfect and exceptionally crisp; its original silver plating is pristine. The screw post is full length, approx. 9 mm measured from the retaining nut, and includes the original maker-marked screw plate in nickel-plated steel.
The Order of 9 September 1944 was established to commemorate the 1944 coup d'etat that brought the communist Fatherland Front to power. Its early screw back version is quite rare compared with the suspension type. The former is especially hard to find in a premium condition such as the example offered here.
