Unit Citation for capture of the city of Kalisz, Poland (Stalin's decree of 24 January 1945), issued to Private E. Sukyasyan (Е.Б. Сукясян) of the 3rd Guards Motorized Engineer Brigade, 4th Guards Tank Army, 1st Ukrainian Front.
Single page measuring 5 ½" x 8 ¼", front only. The customary design of decorative graphics, with Stalin's portrait top center, is in vivid color. The citation was issued for liberation of the Polish city of Kalisz in central Poland during the Sandomierz-Silesian offensive, part of the larger offensive of the 1st Ukrainian Front from the Vistula to the Oder. The red ink stamp bears the number of the military unit 11361, assigned to the 3rd Motorized Engineer Brigade, still existing, albeit redesignated 45th Separate Guards Engineer Brigade, subordinated to the Moscow Military

In excellent condition. The folds have long since straightened out and are virtually invisible, the wear to the edges is negligibly light. Some of the foxing to the verso which is visible on the obverse just adds character. The graphics and text, both printed and typewritten, as well as the ink stamp and hand signature of the brigade commander are bright, crisp and perfectly legible.
