Single page 7 ½" x 9 ½", front only. Issued to Ivan Novosorbyan, a serviceman in the 72nd Guards Rifle Division, and hand-signed by the division commander Major General Pyotr Berestov (Петр Филиппович Берестов).
In good to very good condition: the partial separations in the horizontal fold have been reinforced with clear tape on the verso; the paper is pliant and does not feel brittle. Despite the large stain, the handwritten and typographical text as

Berestov received the title of Hero of the Soviet Union for his leadership during the East Prussian offensive in January 1945. He commanded the 72nd Guards Rifle Division until January 1947, which allows us to date this document.
