Special edition Lithuanian SSR cover commemorating the 30th anniversary of Soviet Victory in the Patriotic War of 1941-1945, canceled with 1st Day stamp, 1975.

The size is 6 ¼" x 4 ½", postally unused, shows a special-issue large commemorative postal stamp cancelled with the First Day stamp of the Vilnius Post Office, dated 9 May 1975. Published by the Ministry of Communications of the Lithuanian SSR.The artwork on the left is a photo of the monument to General of the Army Ivan Chernyakhovskiy who was killed in action on 18 February 1945 in Eastern Prussia and was buried in Vilius, the capital of Lithuania. The name of the sculptor, N. Tomskis, is printed on the bottom flap of the verso.

In excellent condition, showing barely noticeable storage wear and a small crease to the lower right-hand corner. Quite uncommonly for Soviet-era postal covers, this one has security tints on the inside.
