The gilt finish on the state emblem is pristine and exceptionally bright. The screw post is full length, approx. 9.5 mm, and includes an original mint-marked screw plate. Overall, a superb example, literally impossible to upgrade.

This badge came to replace the late 1950s version of the "unified" military academy badge in solid silver. This is the official, mint-made version awarded to all students upon graduation (as opposed to additional graduation badges that were often privately commissioned and purchased by the graduates with their own money.)
