The largest article touts the success of Operation Koltso ("Ring"), which finished on 2 February with complete destruction of the German 6th Army cut off in Stalingrad. The article cites the number of casualties on the German side, and provides the number of captured general officers, officers and troops, seized air planes, tanks, guns, ammo depots, and various other materiel. As usual for wartime periodicals, the issue also has a few short articles decribing specific cases of bravery of Red Army soldiers, and a description of German atrocities towards civilian population on occupied Soviet territories.

In very good to excellent condition. The paper is evenly age-toned, wrinkle-free and mostly clean, showing just a few small and faint stains, not easily noticeable against the age-toned color of the paper. The left margin shows uneven edge and a few tiny holes left when the document was removed from its file. The wear does not reach the text on either side of the newspaper. There is also a minuscule see-through spot, up from the center of the page, not really intrusive to the eye.

Please note that the pen in our photo is for size reference.
