Order of the Red Star, Type 6, Variation 3, Sub-variation 3, #2755066, circa mid-1945 - mid-1946 issue.

Silver, enamels; measures 45.6 mm tall, 48.3 mm wide; weighs 31.5 g without the screw plate. Features mint mark that is approx. 8.5 mm wide and has a straight dash over the last character "й" in the word "Monetnyi". The reverse has a shallow depression near the bottom.

This specimen was manufactured in 1945 at the Moscow Mint. The award was bestowed either at the end of the war (we have seen documented orders from this serial number range awarded by an official decree in as early as February 1945) or within a year or two after its end, almost certainly to a WW2 participant.

In excellent condition. The enamel shows a beautiful luster and is nearly perfect, having only some microscopic contact marks invisible to the naked eye. The center medallion has a couple of minuscule dings to the recessed field that are nearly unnoticeable, otherwise essentially pristine, with its raised details perfect and exceptionally crisp. The screw post is full length, approx. 13 mm, and includes original WW2 era screw plate. A superb example overall.
