We believe that cleaning maintenance and, possibly adjustment of the movement should fix that deviation. The gold plating is mostly intact, showing just a few scuffs and scratches. The crystal is practically wear-free, possibly a replacement. A visit to a professional watch repairman is required in any case, to replace the missing seconds hand.

Legend has it that Pobeda was launched in 1946 to mark the first anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, the brand name and specifications approved by Stalin personally. Six watch factories manufactured the Pobeda. The Maslennikov Watch Factory where this watch was made manufactured them from 1951 to 2004. In the 1970s - early 80s, they came out with the "ZIM" brand name but by the V-Day in 1985 the name Pobeda was returned.

Note that modern-day Pobeda watches are quartz and designed completely differently. The Petergof Watch Factory which makes them just used the famous brand name.
