Army Map Distance Measuring Tool, circa 1930s.
Black Bakelite housing and handle, overall length is 70 mm. Raised inscription on one side is "Centimeters / Kilometers" and on another, "Duyms / Verts" (the latter two are old Russian measures of length phased-out after the 1917 revolution but still present on the older maps often used throughout the WW2.)
In excellent working condition. The original glass on both sides is clear and intact; the dials are fully legible. The steel roller functions smoothly. The housing and handle are free of cracks or significant scuffs. This scarce piece is an indispensable part of a WW2 Red Arm
