Military Merit Medal, Type 4 Variation 2, circa 1950s.
The medallion is in solid silver, measures 37.2 mm in height incl. the ornate eyelet, 33.0 mm in width; weighs 16.9 g not including the suspension. This Soviet-made type features solid silver construction and far better details than most other issues. Unlike all other versions, the eyelet is "stepped back" as opposed to being flush with the rest of the reverse.
In excellent condition. The details are perfectly preserved and crisp. There are no noticeable dings, scratches or edge bumps. The ribbon shows only a very minor amount of soiling, still attractive and sound.
