In brass; measures 38.1 mm in height incl. eyelet, 32.1 mm wide; weighs 17.3 g excluding the suspension and connecting link.
Outstanding, excellent condition. The medallion is completely free of any wear visible to the naked eye and has only a couple of microscopic contact marks that are completely unnoticeable without magnification. The raised details of the artwork and lettering are perfect and exceptionally crisp. The original "gilt" mint luster is extremely well-preserved and bright in recessed areas on both sides. There are just a couple of tiny oxidation spots near the edge

There are just a couple of tiny oxidation spots near the edge on the obverse, not detractive in the least; the reverse is literally pristine.
The medal comes on a brass suspension of late 1940s vintage. The ribbon is new. The connecting link appears to be of the period. Overall, an exceptionally well-preserved example of the Koenigsberg Medal.
