Real Photo Postcard Showing a Red Army Officer with a Revolver, 1918-20.
The size is standard 3 ½" x 5 ½", printed on cardboard semi-gloss photo paper. The verso is lined to be used as a postcard. The verso has two handwritten inscriptions. The one on the left names the family: "Papa, Rimma, Mama Lashkarevy." The one on the right says "For long memory, to Rimma from Papa." Judging by the clumsy childish handwriting and spelling mistakes, the officer was more familiar with firearms than with pens and writing.
In good to very good condition. The obverse shows mild wear to the edges. Tilting the photo to reflect a bright light reveals minor scuffs, pittin

In good to very good condition. The obverse shows mild wear to the edges. Tilting the photo to reflect a bright light reveals minor scuffs, pitting and a stain, but they are virtually invisible when looking at it at a normal viewing angle. The verso shows moderate soiling and foxing but the inscriptions are clear and perfectly legible. The image is in very sharp focus providing an excellent opportunity to have a close look at the officer's uniform, sidearm, gear, even the cloth red star cockade on his visor cap.
