In rich burgundy two-layer velvet, measures 16 ½" x 24 ½". The obverse features an exquisitely embroidered profile of Lenin. The wording under the portrait reads, in Ukrainian, "To the winner of socialist competition in honor of the 100th birthday of V.I. Lenin." The lettering on the reverse reads "From the Moscow District Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine and from the Executive Committee." What is implied but not stated is that it was the Moscow District of Kiev.

In very good to excellent condition. Two-three inches of the gold twisted edging cord is separated from the velvet in the upper left corner, but it is a ten-minute job to stitch it back, if desired. Otherwise, there is no wear to the velvet or the embroidery on either side of the pennant.
