Porcelain Hand-Painted Bear Figurine of Mishka, 1980 Moscow Olympics mascot, by LFZ, Lomonosov Porcelain Factory, late 1970s-1980.

Large size standing 10" tall, the bottom of the pedestal is approx. 3 ¼" x 3". Everything about the design of this figurine is very uncommon: the tall pedestal, the floral ornament on it, and especially the bouquet of wild flowers instead of a trophy or another sports-related object.

The figurine is in superb condition. The quality of the porcelain mass, the glaze, the near-complete absence of any production process imperfections, the precision of the hand-painted artwork, all points to a first-grade porcelain factory. The figurine is in superb condition. Unfortunately, the bottom of the pedestal where we would have found the maker's mark, has been broken. The damage does not affect the appearance or structural integrity of the statuette in the slightest. And it is known that this was indeed made at a top-notch factory, LFZ. The model was made by sculptor Eropkina.
