Brass, enamels; 47.2 x 26.0 mm. Three-piece construction: the Soviet state emblem and the traditional Russian medical emblem of the bowl of Hygeia are separate superimposed parts. Reverse shows raised late-style logo of the Leningrad Mint. The quality of enamel is superb, more typical of the Soviet school graduation badges from the 1950s-60s than the 70s.

Excellent condition. Both the red and white enamels are flawless and show a beautiful luster. The details of the state emblem and medical emblem are perfect and crisp; the original gilt finish is intact and bright, especially on
