Engineering Institute (higher level college) Graduate Badge, circa 1960s-70s.

Brass, enamels; 47.7 x 26.0 mm. This version of the badge features the state emblem attached by a rivet, while the engineering emblem of crossed hammer & wrench is held by wires. There is the early-style raised logo "LMD" of the Leningrad Mint on the reverse. The badge is of beautiful quality.

In excellent condition. The enamel is perfect; the gilt finish is bright. The connecting wires are intact and tight. The screw post is full length, over 8 mm measured from its hexagon retaining nut, and includes an original screw plate with the Leningrad Mint logo.
