Measures 3 ¼" x 4 ¼", in red oilcloth-bound cover. The front cover features the Soviet military star on top with "USSR" split in two on both sides of it. Below is the inscription "Military ID" in large capital letters, followed by "Ministry of the Armed Forces of the USSR, 1946" at the bottom.
In very good to excellent condition. The covers show mild storage wear and two small black stains. The ID photo is in excellent condition. All the printed and handwritten text, as well as seals and signatures, are clear and perfectly legible.

The document states that Zeldich was conscripted into Red Army in 1922, discharged to reserve in 1924, and then was mobilized to active duty again on 10 July 1941. Wounded three times, he returned to the frontlines again and again, participated in the Battle of Stalingrad, finished the war as Rifle Squad Commander, and was discharged in October 1945. He was awarded with the Medal for Defense of Stalingrad, and the Medal for Victory over Germany.
