The medal comes on original WW2 suspension, a double-layer model in steel with a self-locking catch of the pin. The old ribbon shows a minor amount of rust staining that transferred from the suspension but remains perfectly sound and overall attractive. (We believe that the vintage ribbon adds a great deal of character to the award but just in case the new owner prefers a brand-new ribbon, we've added a sufficient length of it on the side at no extra charge.) The connecting link appears to be of the period.

Overall, it is an unusually nice example of the Soviet medal for fighting in the Arctic, among the best we've handled in recent years!
